Job summary

Inspire Connections Academy is seeking a School Counselor to support grades 6-12 from a home office in Idaho, assisting with course selection, scheduling, and graduation planning. You will be the first point of contact for academic and non-academic concerns and help families access appropriate resources.

Qualifications

• Idaho resident with state school counselor or social worker certification.
• Strong Google Workspace, Zoom, and Windows IT skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized.
• Ability to analyze data and implement intervention plans.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work remote hours.
• Knowledge of ASCA National Model is desirable.
• Two-step authentication required to access systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a plan for the comprehensive school counseling program.
• Advise students and families on academics, career planning, and graduation.
• Keep abreast of high school graduation requirements and communicate them.
• Assist with course selection, credits, and four-year plans.
• Review transcripts and ensure accuracy of online records.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to obtain and forward records.
• Advocate for equity and promote opportunities for all students.
• Implement programs for interpersonal adjustment and family support.
• Collaborate with school teams to access resources and follow up.
• Participate in crisis prevention and SST activities.
• Coordinate teachers to identify at-risk students and stay in touch with families.
• Support withdrawal processes and data collection at graduation.
• Report critical incidents as required by law and policies.
• Assist with enrollment mid-semester and integrate new students.
• Deliver AP, SAT/ACT prep, and college entrance planning.
• Assist with high school testing administration and requirements.
• Educate on Advanced Opportunities funding and college registrations.
• Serve as site coordinator for Idaho Digital Learning Academy as needed.
• Guide students in post-secondary options and financial aid.
