Job summary

Stride, Inc. is hiring a School Counselor for the K12 Private Academy. This full-time, remote position supports students’ academic planning, college readiness, and social-emotional growth through data-driven counseling and collaboration with teachers.

Essential duties include guiding postsecondary planning, reviewing transcripts, and coordinating with staff to ensure graduation readiness. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; three years of counseling/advisement experience required
• School Counselor license preferred
• Must be able to pass background check

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive services and counseling to students on academic success, social-emotional development, and career planning
• Deliver classroom instruction aligned with student success standards
• Review transcripts and assist with four-year graduation planning
• Collaborate with staff to audits schedules and advise on AP courses and pathways
• Analyze student data to develop data-driven intervention plans
• Support standardized testing, parent education, and staff development
• Travel up to 20% for professional development and field activities
