Job summary

Derick Dermatology Pllc is seeking a Scheduling Assistant for a remote, Alabama-based position. You will support scheduling, patient intake, and EMR documentation while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to work independently in a virtual setting. Training and equipment will be provided; shifts are weekday with occasional Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (healthcare training preferred).
• Professional, friendly demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Empathy and caring attitude towards patients.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Scheduling & Contact Center activities.
• Answers inbound calls to schedule appointments for new or existing patients at all locations.
• Collects and documents patient medical history into the EMR.
• Other duties as assigned and subject to change as requirements evolve.
