Job summary

Celtic Bank Corp. is seeking a Junior Business Development Officer to support SBA lending and related financing nationwide from a remote setting. You will partner with a Tennessee-based BDO to originate SBA loans, equipment leasing, and ABL transactions for small businesses nationwide.

Responsibilities include prospecting, credit analysis, and coordinating closing; use Salesforce to manage the pipeline and aid in underwriting. Strong credit background and remote-work capability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Commercial banking, lending, or credit analyst experience preferred.
• Strong credit skills and knowledge of credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with borrowers, brokers, and internal teams.
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the BDO in originating SBA, equipment leasing, and ABL financing for small businesses nationwide.
• Assist with prospecting, outreach, and tracking new opportunities.
• Use Salesforce to track leads, opportunities, and accounts; keep pipeline accurate.
• Perform pre-underwriting due diligence and credit analysis; prepare credit files for underwriting.
• Coordinate closing logistics and post-closing relationship support.
• Provide general administrative support to the BDO.
