Job summary

Baer is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a 6+ month remote project based in the United States. The role focuses on developing and maintaining ABAP programs, enhancements, interfaces, reports, and conversions to support business processes.

You will design and implement BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework solutions, translate requirements into technical designs, and ensure code quality and performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong experience with BADIs and User Exits.
• Proficiency in ABAP OO and ABAP Dictionary.
• Experience with Enhancement Framework, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
• Ability to design and implement custom reports, interfaces, and forms (RICEF).
• Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, enhancements, interfaces, reports, and conversions.
• Develop and implement BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework solutions to extend standard SAP functionality.
• Analyze business requirements and translate functional specifications into technical designs and development solutions.
• Develop and maintain custom reports, ALV reports, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing ABAP code to improve application performance and reliability.
• Support SAP system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, perform unit testing, and support integration testing and deployment activities.
• Ensure development follows SAP best practices, coding standards, and change management processes.
