Job summary

ZT Systems in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Staff SAP ABAP developer to support the SAP ECC implementation and customize ERP by delivering RICEF objects. You will document requirements and develop ABAP code in collaboration with external developers for functional integrations.

You will create unit tests, perform testing, participate in code reviews, and prepare user training materials. The role demands strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 50+ years? correction
• 5+ years IT experience.
• 5+ years SAP ABAP development experience.
• Experience with Interfaces, Conversions, Reporting, Dialog programming, User Exits, Enhancement Points, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, Smart Forms, IDOCs.
• Good communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Create technical specifications based on requirements from the functional team.
• Write technical design documentation.
• Implement ABAP code to develop RICEF objects.
• Create unit test scripts and perform unit testing.
• Participate in code reviews and system integration testing.
• Create user training documents and assist trainings.
• Follow best practices for design, development, testing, and release.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Report task status and issues to management.
• Attend status and issue meetings with the team.
