Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Salesforce QA Engineer to ensure quality and performance of Salesforce applications across the enterprise. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts and product owners to deliver defect-free solutions.

You will design test strategies, automate tests with Selenium WebDriver in Java or Python, validate Salesforce configurations, and test REST/SOAP APIs. This remote role invites qualified US applicants and supports a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience testing Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, custom objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning components, and user security models.
• Experience configuring Salesforce environments, including profiles, roles, permission sets, and flow automations.
• Proven expertise in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs and third-party integrations using Postman.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, regression testing, and defect management.
• Experience validating data using SOQL and SQL queries.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies for Salesforce applications, integrations, and business processes.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java or Python.
• Validate Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, Lightning components, workflows, and security settings.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, API, and integration testing to ensure successful releases.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Test REST and SOAP API integrations and validate end-to-end data flows across connected systems.
• Analyze test results, track defects, and provide quality metrics and recommendations for continuous improvement.
