Job summary

Humana is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to develop and support Salesforce Health Cloud solutions powering the Primary Care business. You will work with sales teams to connect prospective patients with senior-focused primary care services, using Apex, Flows, OmniStudio, and Lightning Components.

You will collaborate with product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce-based solutions, while growing expertise in Salesforce technologies, healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of software engineering or application development experience.
• 2+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Flows, Lightning Components, or OmniStudio.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud; Health Cloud experience is a plus.
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, or connected enterprise applications.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and the SDLC.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to improve development productivity, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Understanding of AI concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Salesforce Health Cloud solutions using Apex, Flows, OmniStudio, and Lightning Components.
• Configure Salesforce functionality to support business requirements and enhance user experiences.
• Build and support custom workflows, automations, and platform-based solutions.
• Assist with integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs and integration platforms.
• Participate in design, testing, deployment, and support of new features and enhancements.
• Follow established engineering standards, coding best practices, and security requirements.
• Partner with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate across Sales, Operations, Marketing, and IT teams to deliver high-quality applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to peer code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate project status, technical challenges, and risks effectively.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support integration and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot application issues and production defects.
• Support deployments and post-release validation activities.
• Monitor system performance and identify enhancement opportunities.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support CI/CD processes and SDLC standards.
