Job summary
Macmillan Learning seeks a Specialist Manager to lead a team of Sales Specialists across disciplines and higher education markets, driving growth and aligning with sales, marketing and editorial. You will coach, guide, and support the field sales process from presentations to close plans, traveling as needed to coach and meet customers.
The role requires collaboration across functions, strong sales leadership, and the ability to travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3+ years of Sales Specialist/Management experience.
- 5+ years of successful college sales experience.
- Ability to travel extensively and flexibly.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train and manage direct reports.
- Coordinate with Sales Specialists, Marketing Managers, and Editors on product strategies and targets.
- Identify priorities and execute plans to increase sales.
- Develop team culture and maintain morale.
- Support sales strategy and field reps with coaching and resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform product strategy.
