Job description

Milacron is looking for a Field Sales Engineer to join our team in the Northwest US. As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for sales activities of the organization, including managing client relationships and selling company products and services to individuals or other organizations.

Work You'll Do:

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies, identify potential customers, and manage existing customer relationships.
  2. Sell to end consumers or business purchasers through primarily face-to-face interactions, including new sales, cross/up/repeat sales, assessing customer needs, and suggesting appropriate products, services, or solutions.
  3. Develop and deliver sales bids, proposals, and presentations, and conduct product demonstrations.
  4. Create strategies to expand the client base within defined market segments, generating new account revenue aligned with organizational and individual targets/quotas.
  5. Keep Salesforce updated weekly by logging calls, RFQs, customer contacts, and notes.
  6. Travel up to 60% as needed to meet customer requirements and maintain relationships across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Part of the Western Sales Team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in the plastics industry; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in plastic injection and/or extrusion industry is a plus.
  • At least 5 years in a field sales role, preferably with technical or capital equipment.
  • Able to travel up to 60% to meet with customers and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Experience with negotiations, scheduling, and project management.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and marketing new products and services is desirable.
