Job summary

HealthEquity is seeking a hands-on Manager, Cyber Defense & SaaS Security. The role splits between owning the SaaS Security function end-to-end (75%) and serving as the Cyber Defense representative on the SOC floor (25%).

You will lead tooling, risk, threats, and detections across HealthEquity's SaaS footprint, while coordinating with IT and business owners to embed security throughout onboarding and lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5–8 years of cybersecurity experience, with SaaS/cloud/app security.
• Experience with SSPM or CASB tooling.
• SOC experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own SaaS Security end-to-end, tooling strategy and deployment.
• Identify and track risks across HealthEquity's SaaS footprint.
• Monitor SaaS threat detections and translate intel into detections.
• Close security gaps in SaaS monitoring and access governance.
• Build detections for SaaS attack techniques with Threat Detection and Hunting.
• Partner with IT, GRC, Eng to embed security in onboarding and lifecycle.
• Maintain SaaS inventory and risk register across the organization.
• Report posture and risk trends to Cyber Defense leadership.
• Represent SaaS Security in audits and vendor risk assessments.
• Direct the day-to-day work of the Cyber Defense contractor.
