Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Rust development in production.
• Strong proficiency in Rust language incl. ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, macros.
• Experience with asynchronous Rust using Tokio, async/await, Futures, and Actix or Axum.
• Understanding of concurrent programming, multithreading, and lock-free concepts.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and high-performance backends.
• Solid OS fundamentals and Linux production environment experience.
• Cloud-native application development on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL experience and distributed messaging systems.
• Hands-on with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Rust for large-scale distributed systems.
• Build low-latency APIs, asynchronous processing services, and event-driven microservices.
• Develop networking applications using TCP/UDP/HTTP2/gRPC/WebSockets/QUIC.
• Create highly concurrent applications with Rust async ecosystem (Tokio).
• Design resilient services handling millions of transactions with high availability.
• Optimize CPU/memory usage, threading, and performance.
• Integrate services with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, or similar.
• Develop secure APIs with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and mTLS.
• Build observability features: logging, tracing, and metrics.
• Participate in architecture/code reviews and production support.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments via CI/CD and IaC.
• Investigate complex production issues in networking, concurrency, and distributed systems.
