Job summary

Strategic Employment is seeking a Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) for a founding-stage, venture-backed Enterprise AI company building a high-growth integration layer for modern business and global operations. This role offers 100% remote work and a salary of up to 150K DOE.

You will write production-grade RoR code, participate in roadmap discussions, and help integrate with ERP/HR systems such as NetSuite, Sage, SAP, UKG, and Emburse, owning features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience building solutions with various API types (REST, SOAP, JSON-RPC) and flat file formats (CSVs).
• Major plus: enterprise SaaS or B2B integrations, Agentic AI system familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, production-ready code in Ruby on Rails to handle demanding enterprise workloads and secure customer data.
• Participate in roadmap and architecture discussions, shaping the client's core AI product as it solves complex integration and automation problems.
• Provide technical expertise and support for complex customer implementations across ERP and HR systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, SAP, UKG, Emburse).
• Own feature development from concept to deployment - designing, building, testing, and shipping new functionality.
