Job summary

Archesys Inc seeks a highly skilled Backend-leaning Ruby on Rails Engineer to join the Financial Data Experience Team. You will build foundational payment and accounting integrations for a greenfield Rails app, including employer premium payments via ACH, refunds, and beneficiary payments (ACH/check) integrated with NetSuite.

The role requires strong OOP, high code quality, and experience delivering robust, well-tested backend functionality in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend integrations with external financial systems (bank/NetSuite).
• Develop foundational payment workflows (ACH, refunds, beneficiary payments).
• Write clean, maintainable code following OOP, DRY, SOLID principles; participate in code reviews.
• Establish patterns for backend payment workflows and data flow into accounting platforms.
• Contribute to full-stack features with emphasis on backend functionality.
• Collaborate in agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize performance of applications and integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and share technical guidance.
• Stay updated on Ruby on Rails trends and best practices.
