ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for product-minded full-stack engineers to build impactful, customer-facing features at Fathom. Our application team owns nearly every part of the product beyond our core infrastructure and recording pipeline. That includes our web app, Electron desktop app, Chrome extension, AI pipelines, search and chat experiences, third-party integrations, public API, and MCP server.

As part of our team, you’ll help identify and deliver the product improvements that matter most to customers. You’ll work closely with fellow application engineers and our AI, platform, SRE, and customer support teams to deliver an unmatched customer experience.

Contribute to our collection of highly-scalable services (some stateless, some stateful). Our services run in multiple regions, are engineered to support spiky but predictable workloads, and are deployed via multi-stage rollouts to build confidence in the correctness and efficiency of changes.

REQUIREMENTS

Hard Skills

• Familiarity with our tech stack or equivalents: Ruby/Rails/Sidekiq, Typescript/TSX, MySQL, Redis, Pusher, Electron, GCP/GKE

• Experience in a SaaS or PaaS environment at our scale (currently 100s of millions of async jobs per week)

• A generalist mindset with the ability to dive deep into a wide range of challenges
