Job summary

MyTime seeks a software engineer to design and build data migration tools that enable new customers to go live with MyTime's POS, scheduling, and CRM platform. You’ll work with the SAAS implementation manager to understand customer needs and integration points, extracting, converting, and migrating data from legacy systems.

You will determine master data responsibilities, develop custom features when needed, and contribute to scalable, well-tested software while staying current with industry

Qualifications

• Should be Brazil-based, and willing to work from home.
• Minimum 2 years of Ruby on Rails.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency with analysis and migration of SQL databases.
• Experience pipelining data in an imperfect environment—retrying through rate limits, http errors, network issues, etc.
• Experience with agile software development environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Execute data migration tasks using manual and scripted processes.
• Develop and maintain web scrapers to import data into database fields.
• Investigate legacy software to determine best data extraction approaches.
• Implement a migration pipeline between enterprise systems with data integration or syncing.
• Create data migration jobs to move data for various go-live dates.
• Write field-level transformation and validation code to ensure reliable data flow.
• Verify pipelines at each migration stage and generate reconciliation reports.
