Job summary

ERM is seeking a Right-of-Way Agent to support Central and Northern New Jersey projects, focusing on land acquisition, title review, and related documents for electric and gas infrastructure. The role requires local travel across the state with hybrid/remote work for a 12-month term.

The position emphasizes negotiations, site visits, document drafting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, with strong knowledge of property records and the ability to work remotely as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of transmission and distribution ROW experience.
• Solid knowledge of property records and title reviews.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with landowners to acquire rights.
• Review Title and Service Easement Exhibit.
• Draft documents for rights of entry, easements, leases, permits, and options.
• Act as liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
• Search courthouse and other records to determine ownership and interests.
