Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Remote Right of Way Agent to lead the acquisition of land rights for fiber infrastructure nationwide, with a focus on negotiating easements and licenses and coordinating with owners and regulators.

The role is remote with 20% travel and a 12-month project outlook, based out of Seattle, WA. Expect compensation in the $30.00–$40.00 per hour range, with flexible hours and company-provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience negotiating and drafting easements.
• Contact landowners and government entities to file easements.
• Experience conducting title research and parcel analyses.
• Familiar with easement negotiation and landowner coordination.
• Willing to travel about 20% (roughly one week per month).
• Multiple years in ROW or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and acquire permanent and temporary easements, licenses, and access rights for electric and gas facilities.
• Engage with landowners, tenants, municipalities and stakeholders to explain scope and impacts.
• Conduct property owner research, title review, and parcel analysis.
• Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, project managers, and legal counsel.
• Support utility construction projects including new fiber installations.
• Prepare ROW acquisition documents and compensation packages.
• Assist with condemnation support when required with legal teams.
• Address landowner questions during construction and restoration.
• Maintain ROW records and parcel tracking logs.
• Ensure compliance with utility policies and state/local regulations.
