Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Specialist in the United States with extensive experience in operating and maintaining large rotating equipment. The role involves travel up to 50% and remote work arrangements, collaborating with engineering and operations to ensure reliability across compressors, turbines, pumps and fans used in gas processes.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of oxygen compression equipment and lubrication, plus strong planning and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of technical experience in rotating equipment operations, troubleshooting, and design.
• Detailed knowledge of compressors, turbines, pumps and fans used in air separation, CO2, and H2 processes.
• Detailed knowledge of oxygen compression equipment and oxygen cleanliness.
• Lubrication knowledge and expertise.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and project planning software.
• Willingness to travel 50% and work remotely as needed.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in rotating equipment maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Collaborate with OEMs and internal teams to improve reliability and availability.
• Guide maintenance teams in on-site overhauls and repairs of large rotating equipment.
• Support preventive or predictive maintenance data analysis (vibration, oil, temp).
• Develop and update maintenance policies, job plans, and procedures.
• Assist in risk assessments and capital spare parts planning.
• Create maintenance schedules and budgets for rotating equipment.
