About the Role

The DBHDS seeks a skilled Cloud Solution Architect to develop and implement technology solutions that improve decision-making and processes across all units. This role requires advanced expertise in cloud ecosystems, solution development, and alignment with the agency's architectural roadmap and enterprise goals. Responsibilities include training teams, implementing cloud technologies, and ensuring successful adoption and integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on solution development on AWS cloud networking and security for all applications and data within DBHDS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into solution components aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Design and develop scalable, resilient cloud architectures using native cloud services.
• Develop front-end and back-end components for cloud and hybrid infrastructures using AWS services.
• Create comprehensive documentation for design, testing, and support processes.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Ensure solution quality through thorough testing and QA processes.
• Manage configuration consistency across environments using tools like AWS CloudFormation and CodeDeploy.
• Apply DevOps principles to automate and streamline SDLC.
• Deploy solutions across environments, establish monitoring, and ensure operational stability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.
• Identify opportunities for innovation to improve solution efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Expertise in cloud solutions, translating requirements into tested workflows.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and native services.
• API development experience, especially with AWS API Gateway.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups) and security best practices (IAM).
• Experience with AWS WAF, Lambda, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Adherence to agency policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, software engineering, scripting (Python, Node.js), serverless, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and training skills.
• Analytical troubleshooting and automation skills.
• Preferred AWS certifications: Solutions Architect Professional, Security/Specialty.

Required Experience

• 12+ years in solution development on AWS, API development, containerization, and infrastructure automation.
• 10+ years in infrastructure design, security, and setting up monitoring for AWS environments.

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Cloud Solution Architect
• Network/Security Specialty Certifications (Highly Desired)
