Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Robotics Software Engineer to design, build, and integrate software powering autonomous robots. You will work across the full robotics software stack—from sensor integration and real-time perception to motion planning and control—with a focus on reliability in production environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions while ensuring documentation and testability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Five+ years of robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS 2 in production projects.
• Experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or control.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques.
• Experience with simulation environments.
• Strong debugging skills in real-time systems.

Responsabilités

• Develop robotics software in C++ and Python with real-time performance in mind.
• Design and integrate sensor data pipelines (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs).
• Implement perception, localization, and mapping algorithms including SLAM and sensor fusion.
• Develop motion planning and control algorithms for safe robot behavior.
• Build behavioral systems using state machines or behavior trees.
• Integrate ROS/ROS2 frameworks with hardware and embedded systems.
• Implement safety patterns including watchdogs and safe stops.
• Build simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) for development and testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and ML engineers; gather requirements and ensure quality.
• Design and execute field tests and data analysis.
• Maintain comprehensive architecture diagrams and runbooks.
