Job summary

SC Works Trident is seeking a Roadway Design Project Manager to lead transportation improvement projects in the Carolinas, from planning through construction support, including new locations, widenings, and design-build efforts.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, and NC PE licensure with 5–10 years of roadway design experience; Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK; OpenRoads a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• NC Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5–10 years of roadway design experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvements.
• Oversee design development, construction details, and estimates with calculations.
• Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, staff, and managers to deliver quality work on time and budget.
• Direct and mentor design staff.
• Conduct engineering investigations and planning tasks; analyze data.
• Perform routine calculations and evaluate feasibility of options.
