Job summary

AccessNurse-TeamHealth is seeking professional nurses for 100% remote telephone triage roles. You’ll guide patients over the phone using clinical decision tools and help determine the appropriate level of care, from home care to urgent evaluation.

Ideal candidates have a multi-state RN license, 2+ years of RN experience, strong listening skills, and fluency with computer use and HIPAA compliance. Training and equipment are provided, with flexible shift options including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current multi-state RN license with no restrictions; nurses with a single-state license must obtain a multi-state license before a job offer.
• 2+ years of RN experience.
• Proficiency using computers and type a minimum of 25 wpm.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information by patient.
• Remote Workstation / HIPAA requirements (workspace must be lockable).
• Must have a high-speed internet connection.
• Desk should accommodate 2 monitors, computer, accessories and a hands-free headset.
• Ability to handle confidential information; HIPAA compliance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess symptoms using physician-developed clinical algorithms.
• Deliver and document health education to help patients manage symptoms when indicated.
• Assist in getting patients to appropriate level of care (home care, office visit, ER).
• Consult with physicians as needed.
• Weekends and holidays are required.
