Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patient calls using the nursing process.
• Communicate verbally in a calm, clear manner to ensure understanding.
• Identify life-threatening emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Assess and triage patients via telephone; document health history.
• Enter data during calls and maintain accurate records of patient information.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time/resources effectively.
• Coordinate with physicians for escalation and appropriate level of care.
• Schedule patient appointments per guidelines and use scheduling systems.
• Counsel patients and callers according to established guidelines.

Education

Illinois RN licensure

3 years clinical experience in acute ambulatory/ Acute care

ER/Home Health experience preferred
