Job summary

CorVel Corporation is hiring a caring, self-motivated, energetic and independent registered nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager position in the Greater Portland, OR area. This role involves work from home and on the road with Monday through Friday, regular business hours.

You will provide in-person and telephonic medical case management, collaborating with patients, families, providers, and employers. A focus on supporting recovery and coordinating care for workers' compensation cases is

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of operation.
• CCM or CIRS certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 60%.
• Experience in workers' compensation case management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to patients, families, providers, and employers.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals to discuss treatment plans and alternatives.
• Evaluates treatment plans for medical necessity and cost effectiveness.
• Attends discharge planning conferences and coordinates home visits as needed.
• Maintains accurate progress notes and documents case activities in the system.
