Banner Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to enhance the accuracy and completeness of provider-based medical records remotely across multiple facilities. The role requires an active RN license, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and at least two years of acute clinical care.

• Facilitate improvement in the quality and completeness of provider-based clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure documentation supports DRG, SOI, ROM, risk adjustment, and complexity of care.
• Conduct concurrent record reviews to identify documentation opportunities and provide queries for clarification.
• Ensure data integrity of the clinical documentation database and accurate case data input.
• Educate clinicians and facility management on documentation opportunities and reimbursement issues.
• Work remotely across multiple facilities with limited travel (<15%).
