Job summary

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in risk management, paralegal services, claims settlement work or clinical bedside/acute care.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and report writing.
• Experience with online database management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day risk management operations, including risk mitigation, investigations, and responding to safety events.
• Monitor the event reporting system for safety trends and ensure timely responses.
• Collaborate with risk managers to provide timely unit and department leader responses to event reports.
• Ensure data is available to leaders to aid in reducing risk and quality improvement activities.
• Provide root cause analysis support to risk managers and communicate trends to leadership.
• Develop and present reports, dashboards and recommendations based on event data.
• Coordinate education on event management policies and ensure effective use of the system.
• Support claims and insurance communications when potentially compensable events are identified.
