Job summary

Haymarket Center is seeking a Risk Manager in Chicago to identify and mitigate clinical and operational risks that could affect the mission. This role supports the Director of QA, drives risk prioritization, and develops mitigation plans while overseeing the Emergency Management Program and incident reporting.

The position emphasizes staff training, program expansion through a training library, and ensuring ongoing regulatory readiness across HRSA, FTCA, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Human Services or related field; licensed preferred (LPC/LCPC).
• Five+ years of work experience in Human Services within a human services agency.
• Familiarity with HRSA, CARF, and CCBHC standards; FTCA knowledge a plus.
• Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating policies and procedures; help prepare for board approval.
• Assist in accreditation surveys (CARF, HRSA, DBHR Rule 132, CCBHC) and reporting to regulators.
• Maintain linkage agreements and organize documentation.
• Manage Incident Report program; analyze trends and train staff.
• Oversee Emergency Management Program; plan disaster drills and staff readiness.
• Prepare annual Risk Management Plan and real-time risk inventory; support QA committee work.
• Conduct quarterly risk assessments for FTCA and other regulators.
• Coordinate with HR and VP for training compliance at hire and intervals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
