Job summary

RTX is seeking a part-time Electrical Engineering student/graduate to support RF hardware engineering activities in Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance. The role involves testing, analysis, and data handling while pursuing a May 2027 or August 2027 graduation.

Initial on-site Aurora, CO work may follow completion of the program, with security clearance sponsorship and ongoing learning in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Masters’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date of May 2027 or August 2027.
• Academic or internship experience that includes hands‑on testing of electronic equipment.
• Exposure troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobby with common test equipment.
• Exposure to data analysis using tools such as MATLAB.
• Experience with tools, such as Microsoft Office, Ansys HFSS or Python for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of analysis, integration and verification, and troubleshoot test activities in labs or OPS environments.
• Support failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes with advanced lab or field test equipment.
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations using analysis tools like MATLAB.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to stakeholders.
• Support test and troubleshooting of hardware and root-cause analyses with design changes.
• Maintain engineering specifications, drawings and engineering databases.
• Participate in engineering tag ups and meetings across engineering teams.
