Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Analyst Team Lead for the AR Payer Pod to provide SME-level guidance on billing, payer requirements, and claims resolution. You will mentor the team, handle escalations, and drive process improvements to maximize revenue cycle performance.

Based in the US, you will coordinate with leadership to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance while adapting to evolving payer rules and delegated responsibilities. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience with insurance billing and processing claims preferred.
• 3 years’ experience with Medicare claims, and Medicare and private insurance verification preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance portals; familiarity with a variety of medical and/or insurance terms or practices.
• Full knowledge all areas of collections specialization preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math and business calculations.
• Working knowledge of computer/data entry with the ability to learn new systems.
• Basic level of MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME for Accounts Receivable processes, billing regulations, payer requirements, and claims resolution.
• Provides day-to-day leadership and technical support to AR Representatives to ensure quality and productivity.
• Acts as first escalation point for complex billing, claims, payer, and account issues needing advanced resolution.
• Partners with Supervisor to monitor performance and support departmental initiatives.
• Provides coaching, mentoring and training to team members to promote best practices.
• Monitors productivity, quality metrics, policy compliance, and performance expectations.
• Documents performance observations and assists with personnel-related matters as appropriate.
• Leads or coordinates escalation projects ensuring timely resolution of high-priority accounts.
