Job summary

Cardinal Health’s US nationwide FIELD role is a full-time position supporting Revenue Cycle Management. The role focuses on submitting medical documentation, appealing claims, and ensuring accurate billing and timely follow-up with payers.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, familiarity with ICD-10 coding, effective communication, and the ability to work independently within a team to meet deadlines in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• HS, GED or Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
