Job summary

Foodsmart is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage end-to-end claims, denials, and patient billing in a fast-paced remote setting. You will analyze denials, resubmits, and work with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

You should have 1–3 years in medical billing, strong knowledge of CMS-1500/837, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and experience with payers. Benefits include remote work, healthcare coverage, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or denials management.
• Familiar with CMS-1500/837 claims processing.
• Experience with Medicaid or Medicare billing is a plus.
• Comfort with payer communications and problem-solving.
• Experience with EMR or RCM software (Candid) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit claims to health plans on time.
• Research denials and resubmit with corrections.
• Follow up on claim reimbursement with plans.
• Prepare billing reports and support month-end close.
• Handle ad hoc investigations and cleanups.
• Collaborate with finance, product and engineering on data-driven improvements.
• Assist patients and health plans with billing questions.
