Job summary

Cardinal Health is recruiting for a Revenue Cycle Management role in the United States. The position supports submitting documentation, appealing denied claims, and transmitting claims using billing software. Strong Excel proficiency and healthcare terminology knowledge are valued.

The role emphasizes independent work within a collaborative team and requires the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Experience in RCM and familiarity with ICD-10 coding are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS, GED, or bachelor’s in business-related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
