Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Retirement Plan Document Specialist to Prepare, review, and maintain qualified retirement plan documents and amendments.

You will draft restatements, amendments, and regulatory updates to stay compliant with IRS, ERISA, and DOL rules, and work with plan admins and clients to answer questions. This full-time remote role offers up to $90,000 based on experience, plus comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with retirement plan documents at a Third-Party Administrator (TPA)
• Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plans (e.g., 401(k), profit sharing, cash balance)
• Experience drafting plan documents, amendments, and restatements
• Working knowledge of IRS and ERISA regulations affecting retirement plans
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain qualified retirement plan documents and amendments.
• Draft plan restatements, discretionary amendments, and required regulatory updates.
• Ensure plan documents remain compliant with IRS, ERISA, and Department of Labor regulations.
• Research legislative changes and implement required document updates.
• Work closely with plan administrators, compliance teams, and clients to resolve document-related questions.
• Review plan provisions for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with plan corrections and document remediation projects as needed.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for all plan document changes
