Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Manager Retirement Benefits to lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our retirement plans, mentoring the retirement team and ensuring compliance with ERISA and related laws.

You will oversee the Jefferson Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution and 457(b) plans, partner with HR and payroll, and drive strategy to improve employee experience while maintaining plan competitiveness and data integrity in HRIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5 years in retirement benefits management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Excel knowledge including formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking; detail-oriented.
• Experience with an enterprise HRIS.
• Skilled in process management.
• Active listening, clear communication, and composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operation of Jefferson retirement plans; mentor, coach and train retirement team.
• Sets expectations and goals; resolves escalated benefit issues.
• Ensures compliance and effectiveness of retirement plans with internal and external partners.
• Acts as SME and point of contact for escalated inquiries; provides excellent service.
• Interprets plan provisions in plan documents and SPD.
• Manages vendors to align with Total Reward strategy and values.
• Supports implementation of new retirement programs and maintains operations.
• Keeps current with national trends and ensures HRIS data accuracy.
