Job summary

Nova 401(k) Associates is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (Product Manager) to bridge business stakeholders in plan administration, compliance, and client services with the automation development team. The role emphasizes translating domain expertise into robust requirements, testing, and automation to improve retirement plan services.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in the retirement industry, strong BA skills, and familiarity with BPMN and Agile environments.

Qualifications

10+ years of 401(k) plan administration experience.
3+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably supporting automation or software development initiatives.
Bachelor's degree required.
Strong knowledge of retirement plan types (401(k), 403(b), defined benefit), ERISA requirements, and recordkeeping operations.
Experience with BPMN and process mapping methods.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum tools and environments.

Responsibilities

Gather, document, and prioritize requirements for automation and process improvement initiatives with business stakeholders.
Translate retirement industry needs into detailed functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for developers.
Serve as primary point of contact for developers to clarify requirements and validate solutions meet specs.
Map current and future state processes to identify automation opportunities.
Support change management with training materials and end-user communications.
