Job summary

Flexsteel Industries Inc. is pursuing a Retail Account Specialist to design and deliver training for our retail network. This remote role requires residence in Southern Florida and regular travel to stores within the Southern Region.

You will develop onboarding and ongoing training, act as a product expert, and align curricula with business goals in partnership with sales leadership. Strong presentation and merchandising skills are essential to promote Flexsteel products and build durable store

Qualifications

• Work experience as a retail trainer, sales trainer, or similar role.
• Understanding of merchandising in retail.
• Experience in the retail industry.
• Willing to travel to stores regularly.
• Ability to manage the full training cycle including in-person and e-learning.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• BS/BA degree.
• Certification in training is a plus.
• Lead training events to ensure product knowledge.
• Focus on creating brand awareness.
• Build long-term relationships with sales associates and management.
• Engage retail associates as product experts.
• Evangelize innovative technology to support products.
• Strong communication to identify opportunities for Flexsteel.
• Self-motivated and able to manage ~110 stores efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales leadership to implement training programs and initiatives.
• Identify and prioritize training needs with sales/marketing leadership.
• Stay current on industry trends and design curriculum accordingly.
• Manage an ongoing calendar of training engagements focused on KPI’s.
• Contribute and manage content in the sales learning management system for this retailer.
• Develop training around launches of new products/programs and sales aids.
• Submit materials through the sales and customer experience approval process.
• Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct.
• Travel 75% within the Southern Region.
