Job summary

Perry Ellis International in Minneapolis is seeking a part-time Retail Coordinator to establish and execute merchandising plans, ensuring a fresh flow of merchandise from backroom to sales floor and maintaining all merchandising standards.

You will partner with Visual Managers, review strategies, and coordinate with retailers on stock and marketing opportunities, supporting store teams with seasonal campaigns.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or visual merchandising; apparel/department store experience a plus.
• Strong retail math understanding.
• Able to read and analyze business reports and purchase orders.
• Able to multi-task with strong organizational skills; manage multiple brands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Independent worker who can manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise PEI departments using current directives.
• Partner with Visual Managers and ensure graphics are in place.
• Review merchandising strategies and recommend shop enhancements.
• Ensure markdowns are timely and easy to shop.
• Maintain store recaps, floor plans, and photos.
• Communicate stock issues and opportunities with sales teams.
• Develop business-driving strategies via sales contests and merchandising.
• Compare PEI trends to competitors.
• Conduct store seminars on brand marketing and selling skills.
• Review business plans and weekly/monthly numbers with store management.
