Job summary

Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine seeks a Residency Writing Coach to provide one-on-one virtual coaching for HMSOM students and assist them in crafting strong personal statements for residency applications.

Ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Writing or English with 3+ years of coaching/teaching experience; a PhD is preferred. Strong communication skills and proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Writing, English or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years or more years of experience in coaching and/or teaching writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one virtual coaching sessions for HMSOM students.
• Assist students with generating effective personal statements for residency applications.
