Job summary

HeyMarvin is seeking a Research Consultant to bridge product, sales, and customers. You will tailor demonstrations, advise on research methods, and become the internal product expert driving value for prospects and existing clients.

Responsibilities include designing training for new hires, delivering ongoing product education, and collaborating with Customer Success to maximize adoption and retention. This role offers flexible hours and location in Oakland, CA.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Research, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Product Specialist, or similar role.
• Deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex concepts.
• Experience supporting a sales process and aligning product capabilities with outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Product Demos: tailor demonstrations to address user research pain points and business goals.
• Consultative Selling: act as strategic advisor, customize demonstrations and proposals.
• Technical Authority: answer technical questions, scope potential solutions, and support deals.
• New Hire Training: design and deliver comprehensive initial training for sales and customer success.
• Ongoing Product Training: run regular sessions on features, updates, and best practices.
• Strategic Consultations: provide advanced consulting with high-value customers.
• Maximize Product Value: drive adoption, retention, and expansion through deep-dive sessions.
• Feedback Loop: synthesize customer feedback for Product Management and Marketing.
