The University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a Researcher 1 to assist with tobacco use disorder studies led by Principal Investigator Dr. Sandra Japuntich.

This remote role supports a PCORI-funded trial testing care models in community mental health settings, under the study manager and PI to ensure protocol adherence and regulatory compliance. The position emphasizes study startup activities, enrollment procedures, and coordinating administrative tasks, with opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years
• Detail oriented
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
• Fluent in Spanish

Responsabilités

• Implements the study protocol (70%): develop case report forms, enter assessments, assist protocol development, document templates, regulator documentation; assist with site recruitment; complete enrollment procedures; administer informed consent and study assessments by phone; mail study materials; issue participant payments.
• Provide administrative support to the study manager (25%): schedule meetings/trainings; provide technical/logistical support; take and circulate minutes; maintain regulatory binder; assist with academic products (literature searches, PowerPoint, references, tables/figures); participate in quality control monitoring; track study metrics.
• Other duties as assigned (5%).
