Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Center for Health Equity, Education, and Research (CHEER) is seeking a Research Assistant II to support CHAMPS and pediatric research initiatives. The role emphasizes data collection, literature reviews, and training material development across national programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline is required. Masters degree a plus.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in research or related program activities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with recruiting subjects, with an understanding of the ethical and technical conduct of research.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Bilingual or multi-lingual skills in Spanish is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Ability to perform data management tasks (coding, data entry, data cleaning, retrieval, etc.) and basic data analysis.

Responsibilities

• CHAMPS Research Tasks: Manage day-to-day activities of CHAMPS' integrated maternity care team.
• Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, take minutes; collect and manage data.
• Help develop training materials and set up staff and community trainings.
• Conduct literature reviews; contribute to reports, presentations, manuscripts.
• Administrative Tasks: Attend CHEER meetings, draft agendas and minutes; maintain records.
• Other Tasks: Participate in national and BMC groups; maintain policies and QA programs.
