You will conduct market analysis, build financial models in Excel or Google Sheets, conduct interviews with producers or industry partners, and organize data for memo-ready outputs. This is a remote role with a small mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a research- or analysis-focused role.
• Experience in consulting, business analytics, data analytics, or market research.
• Proficient with spreadsheet modeling and quantitative data.
• A careful researcher: cite sources, separate what a source says from your inference, flag gaps.
• Highly organized; track multiple questions and deliver on timelines.

Responsibilities

• Market analysis: size markets, map competitors and customers, summarize adoption drivers and trends.
• Business modeling: build and maintain financial/operating models in Excel or Sheets.
• Ad hoc research: tackle focused questions and deliver clear, sourced write-ups.
• Interviews: conduct customer interviews by phone, email, or in person.
• Data and organization: gather, clean, and organize data from public sources and reports.
• Ideas list: manage our list of 150+ welfare tech startup concepts.
• Communication: turn research into concise memos and slides for non-specialists.
