Job summary

Quarles & Brady is seeking an experienced Research Analyst to join the Research & Knowledge Management team. This role supports attorneys and business professionals with legal and business research, and reports to the Director of Research & Knowledge Management.

The position can be fully remote and is open to candidates located in San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, or elsewhere. Normal work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, regardless of location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• 4+ years of law firm research services experience; legal experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of multiple areas of law.
• Experience researching case law, statutes, regulations, dockets and trial court filings, expert materials, analytics, and verdicts.

Responsibilities

• Independently conducts legal and business research of varying complexity, analyzes and synthesizes results, and provides clear, concise summaries to requestors.
• Uses AI-enabled research tools, develops prompts, and validates AI-generated output against authoritative sources.
• Receives, clarifies, and plans research approaches for requests.
• Advises on resource selection and effective use of research tools.
• Provides resource training and guidance to staff.
