Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS degree required.
• 4+ years in law firm research services.
• Working knowledge of multiple areas of law.
• Experience researching case law, statutes, dockets and analytics.
• Proficient with major legal research platforms (listed).
• Ability to use AI-enabled research tools and validate results.

Responsibilities

• Independently conducts legal and business research and summarizes findings.
• Uses AI-enabled tools and verifies AI output against authorities.
• Receives requests and communicates scope, timing, and results.
• Advises on selection and use of research resources.
• Provides resource training and guidance.
• Records requests and billable time per firm policies.
• Contributes to department communications and evaluates resources.
• Participates in meetings and knowledge sharing.
• Identifies process improvements and stays current with research tools.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional standards.
