Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Reporting & Private Awards Specialist for the Great Plains Division. You will provide centralized reporting, award administration, and financial reporting support within the Finance Operations & Enablement Team, coordinating with multiple Pods/BUs to ensure accurate, timely reporting to internal stakeholders, donors, and partners.

You will work as a subject matter resource for reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory standards, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using Workday including data entry, reporting, recruiting, and/or other functions.
• Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis.
• Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting applications.
• Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data.
• Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports and financial management tools.
• Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices and regulations.
• Experience, coursework or other training with U.S. Federal Uniform Guidance, state and local regulations, multilateral and international regulations, and standard contract clauses, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate private award financial reporting and donor-funded project reporting.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports in line with award agreements and donor requirements.
• Monitor activity against approved budgets and funding restrictions.
• Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies or compliance concerns.
• Support financial stewardship and donor accountability with program staff.
• Maintain documentation and audit support files for awarded funds and reporting activities.
• Close Private Awards.
