Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Reporting & Private Awards Specialist for the Great Plains Division to manage centralized reporting, award administration, and financial reporting support. You will ensure data accuracy, donor compliance, and coordination with Finance Directors, Development staff, and program teams.

Remote position within the Great Plains Division (OK, AR, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, SD, TX) with preference for Central Time. Requires strong Excel, GAAP knowledge, and Workday experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting applications.
• Experience using accounting/financial reporting systems, including Workday.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate financial reporting for private awards, donor-funded projects, and restricted funding sources.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports per award agreements and donor requirements.
• Monitor activity against approved budgets and funding restrictions; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation and audit support files; close private awards.
• Support internal and external reporting, dashboards, and process improvements.
