Job summary

Humana is seeking a Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 to assist in REMS medication preparation, coordination, and compliance in a remote-capable role. You will support pharmacists, enter prescriptions, and maintain REMS processes to optimize patient outcomes.

The position requires pharmacy technician licensure in AZ, FL, OH, or TX, PTCB/ExCPT certification, and at least 2 years of experience. Strong data entry and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in AZ, FL, OH, or TX as required by state law.
• PTCB (CphT) or ExCPT national certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Basic MS Office knowledge including Outlook; ability to learn SharePoint/Teams.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Preferred: 1+ year mail order pharmacy experience.
• Preferred: REMS Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Experience with RxNova, CRM, ScriptMed.

Responsibilities

• May contact physicians to clarify prescription orders and enter prescriptions into the system.
• Support pharmacists and patients by ensuring REMS-specific operational processes and programs.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, providers, and leadership.
• Exercise discretion prioritizing requests and interpreting procedures within REMS programs.
