Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Release Train Engineer to own the flow of work across a program, partnering with Product and Tech leads to convert priorities into shippable epics. This 100% remote role follows East Coast hours, with a focus on reducing blockers and improving predictability.

You will coach cross-functional teams, facilitate ceremonies, and ensure alignment between business, product, and technology while applying SAFe and Lean principles in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Release Train Engineer or equivalent senior multi-team Agile leadership with measurable improvements in flow and quality.
• Expertise in Kanban, Scrumban, and Lean flow including WIP limits, cycle time, aging work, and dependency management.
• Strong coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to challenge commitments and guide trade-offs with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Run the system of work by establishing and improving the program Kanban, WIP limits, and clear readiness and done criteria.
• Translate intent into executable work by partnering with product and business leaders to break outcomes into small, testable epics.
• Clear the path by surfacing and resolving risks, dependencies, and blockers across data access and integrations.
• Embed AI readiness into delivery by planning evaluation, human review, monitoring, and support as first-class work.
• Facilitate decisions through planning, syncs, demos, and retrospectives focused on evidence, forecasts, and trade-offs.
• Grow team autonomy by coaching leaders and teams to make sound local decisions.
