Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Financial Reimbursement Analyst to support system-wide revenue analysis, audits, and budgeting. This 40-hour remote role offers an onsite option for monthly Wisconsin and Illinois luncheons.

You will analyze Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, coordinate closing and reporting, and collaborate with Financial Planning to optimize statements and compliance. A Bachelor's in Finance and 3 years of reimbursement experience are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 3 years of experience in reimbursement, including Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and related regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and third-party payers.
• Proficient in data mining and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with revenue analysis for system-wide programs and services, and monitor revenue budgets and benchmarks.
• Support preparation for system-wide external audits and Medicare/Medicaid cost reports; coordinate year-end audits with external auditors.
• Prepare analyses and provide recommendations to ensure timely regulatory reviews.
• Participate in budgeting for Gross and Net Patient Revenue across the system.
• Analyze monthly accounts receivable valuations and advise optimization of reimbursement.
• Coordinate monthly closing for Medicare/Medicaid liabilities with Financial Planning input.
• Understand and apply Medicare/Medicaid regulations; liaise with Government Affairs as needed.
• Collaborate with Financial Planning on budgets and retrospective reviews and pro formas.
